VokabelSafe sets new standards in protecting your child: We radically dispense with the collection of data. For families and schools, privacy is not an extra, but the basic requirement of our entire concept.
- No account, no registration: Your child can start immediately – without an email address, without a password and without giving a name.
- Absolute anonymity: We do not create user profiles and do not track learning behavior outside of your device.
- No disclosure: Where no data is collected, no data can be sold, hacked or abused.
There is no tracking, no advertising profiles and no hidden analysis services in the background. All vocabulary and progress remain exclusively in your personal "safe" – locally on your smartphone or tablet.
Good to know: Full control over your data also means that no automatic backup takes place in a cloud. We therefore recommend creating a manual backup regularly to protect your vocabulary in the event of a device change or loss.

Many apps request significantly more permissions than are necessary for the actual purpose. VokabelSafe radically follows the principle of data minimization: The app does not require any access to your private data or device functions.
- No access to contacts or camera: We don't need to know who you know or what you look like.

- No push notifications: We do not disturb your child with "learning reminders" or advertisements. Children should learn when it suits them – without digital pressure or distraction.
Important note on camera use: Our app is deliberately kept permission-free. The preparation of textbook vocabulary (via OCR text recognition) takes place exclusively on our website. In this way, parents or teachers can conveniently capture and prepare documents via the browser, while the child's learning environment on the smartphone remains maximally protected and technically isolated.
